Body Lab - Kingston MA - NOC

Lab technicians, pulsating beats and futuristic fabrics were the order of the day for Naimh O'Connor, as the models' moved roboticly along the octagonal catwalk. At each point, throwing angular shapes, emphasising not only Niamh's inspiration from human movement but the wearibity of her garments.

Her debut collection entitled 'NOC' showcased a new take on 'sporting chic' - featuring light fabrics in muted shades of blue, orange and white - with emphasis on the upper part of the body. Billowing bat wing sleeves, vents and rounded necklines contrasted against the tight, fitted geometric patterned cycle shorts and leggings that covered the models' legs.

Overall, the collection demonstrated continuing technological advances in sportswear and with the like of sportswear Aitor Throup designing England's football kit and continuing designer/sportswear collaborations such as Puma and Alexander McQueen it seems as if Naimh is only at the cusp of something great.
